Description
Export polygon object in ASE file format from Maya .
ASE format only support triangle mesh object ,export muti-poly mesh object will make a Error and inefficacious file .

Note

UnrealEd just identify single triangle poly object . So if you translation for UnrealEd , please combine poly first.

When you Freeze Transformation object in Maya will assign initialShadingGroup to this object . This default behavior .

Features
This Plug-in is capable of exporting standarcd 3DSMax ASE format , as well as UnrealEd compatible ASE format .
Support Maya material: Blinn(recommend) , Phong , Phong E , Lambert , Anisotropic , Surface Shader .

It successfully converts:

  Maya multi-UV texture coordinate .
  Maya vertex normal information .
  Maya face normal information .
  Maya smoothing groups information .
  Maya renderable set information into material names .
  Maya renderable set information into material color texture names .
  Maya component set information into groups .
